Schools gave us identity, graded and marked us. We have different sections in every level. Sadly, that identification was becoming self-prophecy to the students. Those identifications sets expectations from you. You act, speak, and think as how you were expected to be.
Even outside the school, the society has sectioning and identification bestowed upon us. We must move on from those identification given by society. We must retire ourselves from “what other people think of us” and let not ourselves prophesied by their expectations. In the first place, our expectations of what other people may think of us doesn’t exist.
The greatest Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius shared, “The approval of such men, who do not even stand well in their own eyes, has no value for him.” Let go of any attachment to praises, grading, or appreciation of others.
